people who Stutter

True Life has an episode where people stutter real bad.

It seemed like they would stutter more when they were stressed or when they met new people or talked to people that caused them stress. 

My question is, what if a stuttering person just took some xanax or something?

anyone with a stuttering problem ever use benzos??

I do have a pretty bad stuttering problem, never have been given medication for it though. It has been shown to help and is only given to people with a serious problem.

Xanax for stuttering is like using hydrogen bombs to get rid of termites.

the people on the T.V. show had some extreme cases, so i guess most people that stutter don't do it as much?

I always thought there were classes to help overcome stuttering. :shrug:

I had a friend who stuttered with only a mild case of it.

Stress did make it worse, but when were just casually talking it would sometimes flare up for no apparent reason. He didn't have much control over it.

I feel bad for the peope who suffer with extreme cases of it though, that has got to be pretty dibilitating.
