adopting special needs children?
    #13249288 -

what do you think of it?
i dont really beleive in having children, at this moment in time. the earth is way too over populated, and i think we should adopt children before we start making more. so im all for adopting, but what about adopting special needs children, arent they the hardest to get adopted since no one wants them. has anyone ever thought about it, or known anyone that has?

special needs kids are as receptive and appreciative of love as any other human being
but i would never adopt and take responsibility for one

honestly this is a pretty significant moral conundrum
i truly do feel that i have not only a right but a duty to raise the most excellent human being possible, and adopting a child of compromised mental ability is directly contrary to that goal
but where does that road go?
i mean, how close is that viewpoint to social darwinism or outright eugenics?

i ain't got answers
