My simple and probably stupid points were just:
a) We shouldn't be here. Yet we are. b) Be lucky you have been awarded with the gift of life. c) See what human kind has made of it.
...and I thought that entheogens helped to realize about these things and such a discussion would be encouraged and even welcome.

Here are some states from a book I'm reading
-UNICEF estimates that it would cost $80 bill for 10 yrs to gurantee every person on the planet access to basic education and healthcare, adequate food and drinking water, and sanitation (and for the ladies all vagina stuff would be covered)
$80 bill is
-thats 3 times less then the 3rd world repaid debt -25 % of the annual US defence budget -9% worlds military expenditures -8% of the money spent on advertising -1/2 the total wealth of the four richest people
I was flabergasted when I read that it would cost this little

They totally do! And it is!
It's just that you posted it in the crucial lazy post-work pre-dinner timeslot.

Wow... it was in fact very interesting. The first part was also beautiful... then the second part really made me think a lot... those numbers are terrible.

nu uh...no they dont.
And that was a good read. I enjoyed that little intro. It was quasi-poetic but scientific at the same time and it went well.

The only answer, in my ignorant American opinion, is to not help those who live in the worst parts of the world and suffer terribly, yet breed like wildfire.
The resources simply don't exist. America has wasted them all. And I'm not talking about 2 cent vitamin A doses. I mean the resources it would take to make everyone's lives good, and give everyone what they need, could never be allocated correctly, so long as rich countries, America in particular, still exist to keep wasting world resources like candy.
It's ugly but I think that population control is the best option for the world.
Maybe someone here is better suited to talk about this problem - the problem of the unbalanced standards of living and use of resources in the world. What do you think, realistically, would be the best course of action?

80 billion if you believe that some massive beauracracy can effectively manage the education of th entire effing world....mind you, we can't even manage it for people in our own country.
never believe that type of evaluation.

The resources simply don't exist.
Actually, if my memory is correct, there is enough ressources on earth to feed 4 or 5 times our planet's entire population.
