You know the type; the people who think they're somehow better or "know more" than others because of their drug use? Usually they don't know shit either, but that's a completely different story (though, clueless drug users out there; fuck you too!).
Every now and then I stumble across some asshole doing the whole "you just don't get it man, you haven't even smoked weed, you don't understand, bro"-routine, and frankly, it's getting old. Especially when chances are I've done more psychedelics the last year than they'll do in a lifetime. And let there be no doubt, I do smoke weed.
I admit it, I look like a fucking square with my tucked in shirts and shit, but here's a pro-tip: know the person you're talking to before drawing a conclusion on who they are based on their appearance. I'm not gonna dress like a god damn hippie just 'cause I like to trip.
I could probably have shut them all up pretty damn fast, but you know, I don't really feel like flaunting the fact that I do drugs, and certainly not just to win an "argument". The hippies are the worst by the way. Just so you know.
So anyway, all you elitist drug users out there: fuck. you.
when anyone says you dont get something unless you personally experience the exact same thing, they havent thought it through or thought about empathy
The problem is that they think I don't understand because they judge me from the way I look and assume I haven't got any experiences with the subject at hand without even asking me about it. People who assume shit are always annoying, even more so when they're wrong as fuck.

I know exactly what you mean. I too did research for several years before dosing for the first time, and even so, it was nothing like I imagined.
I totally get the justification for saying "you don't understand", I just don't like the presumptions involved when people jump to conclusions. I mean, how about at least asking if people have any first-hand experience before putting them down? Either way, not understanding is not a negative thing; those that don't have the experience has just made other choices than the rest of us. People are different, and drugs aren't for everyone. We should respect that.
