15 minutes should not matter, esp. doing pf cakes, 45 min. is plenty.
you used more verm. than standard. for 10 jars only 5 cups verm. is used.
the water & brf content are correct. still, more verm. should not hurt anything, better fluffy than too dense.
the jars must be totally cooled. overnte is best as the core may still be quite warm after the outer layer has cooled.

Well I've always heard to sterilize bye press. cooker at 12 PSI for 45 mintue, and mine is only 10 PSI and I sterilized for 20 minutes. and I have growth in all jars and no contams (knock on wood) so far. 4 of my 12 jars have over 75 percent colonization. the rest are between only 25 percent and 50 percent. You should be A-OK...

In my limited experiance....It seems that sterilization of jars is the easy part. They sterilize quite readily when placed in a pan of boiling water.

The contams seem to enter more readily during the innoculation. AFterall, by sterilizing you just made an environment thats very well suited for anything to grow - virtually no competition for the medium.

Heh. It's really hard to screw up the PF tek. I used it seccessfully the first time I tried it. Follow the instructions and you won't be disappopinted.
