Sterilizing Jars W/O A Pr. Cooker
    #1119176 -

I have read the PF Tek for Dummies and The original PF Tek. In the original it says sterilization can be acheived without a pressure cooker. It Gives directions for Jars with lids, but only half of the jars I bought have lids. Well Garage Sale go figure. Could someone who has had experience in this method give me a brief but detailed run out on it. Use Tin-Foil for lids without the pressure cooker? Whatever. Thanks for the help.

Oh and could anyone tell me about the potency of B+ P. Cubensis? Grams?

Just cause I have been dying to know, define inderect lighting with what stages of growth? Would just sitting in a room with windows be fine? Or could I use a low watt bulb like a little 4 watt nighty-lighty?

Very simple. Follow the PF Tek. Buy the jars your need. $6 a dozen. If you can't affor this, or are too lazy to buy them, quit. Please.

The jars we use are illegal in some countries, he might not be able to just go to the store and get them.

If he is in America, then yes, he should just buy some damn jars.

I apologize if your can't find em'. I'd then assume anything capable of withstanding the temps involved in your process and air tight would work. Or nearly air tight. Good luck.

Yeah I guess I should. But it pisses me off that I already spent 3 bucks for the jars anyway but oh well three bucks can't even buy a good pack of smokes anymore; $5.50 fuck that haha. But thanks anyway.

If you?re really hurting for cash, and trust me I'm in school and it hurts sometime. Then try without jar lids. I'd sterilize a container, airtight one like a good Rubbermaid with the soft rubber-like lid from Wal-Mart and place some jars of substrate sterilized with a make shift lid of foil and inoculated in it. And hope for the best. I've never done it. But try it. And just make sure your cautious. Rubbermaid whatever make shift lid you have, and keep the jar in a sterile air environment.

And what does the PFtek for Dummies (actually PF Tek for Simple Minds) say on this subject?

Hmmm, for some reason I thought they were banned in England, but I think they're just hard to find and really expensive.

Apparently limeys don't can shit.

Here's a link.

Why the hell would tapered jars be illegal in the UK ???

I live in the England and get all my jars from supermarkets. You can use either tapered drinking glasses or Bonne Maman jam jars for 1/2 pint cakes or pickle jars for quarts. I think the drinking glasses were 99p for a 4 pack which is ridiculously cheap. And yes, you can use foil instead of jar lids.

Ida know.

I thought it was some kind of food safety thing. Maybe some people died from some tainted pigs feet or something so they passed a law.
