Injecting water into cakes..?
    #1289031 - 02/07/03 03:40 PM (15 years, 3 months ago)

Is this a decent alternative to dunking after the first few flushes?

What about using it in jars that are still incubating that have lost too much moisture?

Thanks a bunch,
Kat

Injecting water over dunking maybe if you have employed the resevoir tek, as far as jars that are incubating it is likely to introduce contams into the substrate.

I've read injecting honey water can have great results, but I've never tried it.

ive injected water into 3 of my cakes with no visible harm (yet). what i did was spray the area down with lysol dissinfectant (sp?) and boiled water. i then dunked the syringe and needle into the boiling water. then i sucked the syringe full of water (12cc's) and placed it in the freezer for a few minutes. thought that the temp of the water may hurt the mycelium. then i just injected the dry-looking cake.

I've had amazing flushes while using the inner reservoir tek:

These are Allens. You can find the tek here: http://www.fanaticus.com
