that is a good way to case invitro...but i assume hes wanting to crumbel/case..go with the 50/50+..if you cant find hydrated lime...then get some pickleing lime.

50/50 + with oyster shells instead of lime is probably the most foolproof

Umm last time I checked the PF double ended casing tek is not an Invitro tek. Maybe your thinkinf of the Hippie Neglect tek. Thats the only thing about Invitro Fruiting on the PF site. I dont assume anything, I just answer the question, and it was "what is the best casing method for beginners?", and in my opinion the PF double ended casing tek is the best for beginners. You dont crumble, there is basically no chance for contam, so IMO its the best for beginners. PF Double Ended CASING tek
Since invitro occurs in jar, it would be impossible to case anything invitro. So really your post doesnt make much sense to me???, care to explain.

i agree, it's too easy too screw up with hydrated lime .
crushed oyster shells, or chalk won't put ph over 8 if you add too much .
the sea of shooms is another good tec for a first casing .

I'm trying the Sea of Shrooms Tek for my first try. It has been praised as a good tek and every step is out lined and very clear. I had no problem getting the supplies...I should be starting the tek in a couple days. My jars are fully colinized..I'm just waiting for a bit more establishment.
