Easy casing method question...
    #346071 -

If using the easy casing method that is on the shroomery, it is casing with just verm, could you have success if you didn't put it in a terrarium and instead misted it twice a day?

Put it in a ziplock with a few holes jabbed in it.

do you mean like a ziplock container? And if I do this I won't have to use a terrarium? Do I take the lid off when i start to see the mycelium in the hills and valleys? And should i water twice day with the lid on too?

No. Put the entire casing in a ziplock bag. Birth to a terrarium. You can check it for moisture every couple of days.\
This method colonizes the casing layer faster.

But i can't have a terrarium. That was the original question can you have success without using a terrarium when using the easy casing method? Well can you? I live in an area with high humidity anyway, and was going to mist twice a day as needed. The verm is supposed to give humidity as well.

Hey ive got a similar dilemma (I live with my dad and he's not into
mind expansion) So im thinking about using a tall but small tupperware
type container(The kind that are usually used to store cereal and rice
and stuff) and a nice layer of coir under and on top of a crumbled
cake. Youd also need some opaque tape for this 'welfare tek' *chuckle*
since the container would have to be translucent (see through)...
