Searching for new casing method

I'm a new hand, currently I have one terrarium w/ cakes, another w/ casings, and another that will soon carry some B+ strains that are 2 weeks into colonization. My casings are currently in small plastic cups waiting for pins and deep scratching inside my 10 gal aquar/terrar. However I would like to broaden my horizon again w/ another method, so please anyone have any ideas for another casing method. Preferably a HIGH yield, method....What I'm looking for is first hand knowledge and inside tips for assemblage. I've read almost all the websites and what not....but like I said, first hand overwhelming or satisfactory results por favor....

I don't have an answer to your question because I am still new to the game. I would like to know what type of substrate you used for your B+. the only one that seems to be working for me is the pf tek. I have four different substrates being used and the pf is the only one working.

Place 3 fully colonized 1/2 pint cakes into a ziplock. With hands on the outside of the bag, crumble into marble size chunks. Lay the substrate into a 7 X 7 cake pan. An even level is important. Cover with 1/2 inch of damp vericulite. Once again an even layer is important. Place the entire casing into a ziplock with fork holes previously stabbed thru it. Place casing in terrarium or incubator, 85 degrees is optimal. Check it after 2 days, rake some verm over any visible mycelia and check the surface for moisture. If it seems to be a little dry mist it with some water. Not to much, you want it damp, like the morning dew on a lawn. After about 5 -7 days the mycelia should be showing thru the casing surface. Now, take the casing out of the bag and transfer to your terrarium (75 degrees). At this point the casing needs to be misted once a day, again, lightly. You also need an air exchange 2 or 3 times a day. Now, as soon as you see pins forming stop misting the casing. Water on the pins will cause them to abort.
Good luck!

word BP, see its not really the casing that provides the bulk oomph, its the substrate. and dung has oomph! if you dont like shiz as much as BP check the grow/find section for some options.

Anyone ever tried Eric's method where he crumbles the cakes and waits for colonization of wet cardboard then adds woodchips and waits again for colonization of these before inducing fruiting? Any advantages to this tek?, seems like there is alotta colonization going on, any drawbacks to this? I understand this tek isnt for cubies.

suggest sterilizing/pateurizing even verm before using. better safe than...
substrate makes the biggest differences in terms of yield, although a good casing can of course increase yields quite a bit.
try some straw or dung, if you like. 3ms dung tek is simple and interesting. but, you can still get very excellent yields with what you are doing--try some small modifications.
