PLEASE HELP WITH SHROOM WIZARD'S CASING METHOD!!!?

Dear Shroom Wizard...

My friend has been using your method for quite some time now, with great success as far as the jars are concerned, but EVERY TIME he uses your casing method, it fails. It either gets contaminated, (most times), or they just don't grow. Once he had about 15 extremely tiny shrooms grow but he had to toss them because they were an odd color and looked like they were rotting. He does everything you say to the letter and still contamination occurs. When it does he scoops it out with a sterilized spoon and replaces it with fresh dirt, and then sprays the casing with a 50 50 mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide to possibly avoid and kill off more contaminants. Still, no shrooms. Should he maybe instead put saran wrap over the top so it retains moisture and so he dooesn't have to spray it so much? He fears the direct spraying is what is killing/contaminating the mycelium on the top. He could air it frequently, and this way it could also get sunlight to trigger the fruiting process. Any ideas? By the way, every time he uses the caking method in a tupperware bowl with perlite on the bottom, his shrooms grow fine. I don't think he gets as much as he would if your casing method worked for him, but at least he get shrooms. Any ideas about this? He really appreciates your method and ease of use and all and I know others have had results, but I just can't get the casing to work. Oh yes, the strain is the thailand koh samui from the hawks eye...And one more thing...would a regular light bulb from a clip on desk lamp held about 4-5 feet away from the casing be enough top trigger the fruiting process, or would it need sunlight or some other type of incandescent/flourescent light to do this? (Because the casings are in the closet)

boil/steam/sterilze a lot longer before you innoculate.. ive read that he is a bit short as far as sterilization times.

Try crumbling your cakes in a small non-translucent rubbermaid container "WITH A LID" onto a bed of verm with a 1/2 layer verm covering the top of the crumbled casing. Mist till moist and Do Not open until pins form...You have no problem with cakes up until casing, This tek assumes the top casing layer will hold enough moisture to fruit, you will have great success using a lid to both keep out contams and help keep humidity up. After pins form fan twice a day. Do this.....
