Perlite layer soaked? Here's an idea!
    #1281111 - 02/05/03 10:23 AM (13 years, 11 months ago)

For those of you that have a fruiting chamber where the perlite layer on the bottom is soaked, or if you have too much water laying at the bottom, and don't feel like changing the whole bottom layer, (Especially if you have a bunch of cakes fruiting that you don't want to disturb!) an easy way to remove this water is to tilt your setup slightly, and get a hose or tubing of some sort and siphon off the water. Just suck one end till the tube is half full, then dump the water into a bowl.

Just an idea for anyone who hasn't thought of it first

True, but the point is you can suck up a lot more in a lot less time than you could with a turkey baster.
