So anyways should I worry about this notice? They said that I have to delete the file and a bunch of stuff. They said something about a counter notice and shit. But I dont think I'm going to write them back. I deleted the file in question....so I'm hoping it will go away. Plus they havent shut off my internet.

most people just ignore it, any reply will incriminate you.  Not like it matters tho, if you go to court your convicted before you even walk in the door.

But yah, count your chickens and become a christian, as for switching ISP's im not sure which way to go on that.  I believe they have to send you the letters by law so its not really there fault, but if you switch ISP's that might give them reason to start fighting the letters, on the otherhand if they loose you as a customer they might get pissed and do something

Alright so I called my ISP and told them I had an open router, so they said to make it private. And they said this was basically a slap on the hand type of a thing and not to worry about it, but they said they would cancel my service if I got 3.

Enable encryption on Utorrent and try to use private sites.

What happens is the movie companys put copies of their movies up and if you download them they get your IP.

most of the torrents i download from are trusted users who have uploaded hundreds of movies. i would be fucking unlucky to download from a warner bros torrent.

They just emailed you? i've never checked my email that my isp has. A friend told me they call on the 2nd warning lol. Anyways just download scene releases and dont seed too long.

or PM me your email and ill send you an invite to a private tracker/torrent site(which only has scene relases).....

Most people only seem to get one warning. I got a warning from cogeco at two seperate houses around 5 years ago. I just tried to not downloading for a couple weeks after that and then resumed heavy HEAVY downloading for the past 5 years and I've been fine.

It's probably a one time thing

and i have never gotten a warning :laugh:
