how far up should I wait for this to colonize before birthing? And whats the best way to get it out of the jar?

you need to wait until it's 100 % done.. and a bit more..

and you will NEVER get that out of the jar in 1 peace!! tapered lid.. no go..

you will need to case it!

You are a ways away from full (100%) , let it keep going , my guess would be 1 - 2 weeks more . It will be stark white , almost hard to see grain , when ready , little dropltes of water will start to form towards the end .

Well, hes obviously going to spawn it, or case it. You dont make grain cakes :tongue:

Anyways, it is a little full, so shaking might be hard, but, try it anyways. Shake it up, and it should be 100% colonized in 3-4 days. Otherwise, its looking good. If you cant shake it, no worries, it will stil colonize fine.
