Why are there nerves in our teeth? This shit sucks.

As I sit here listening to the throb of my skull from a seriously dilapidated angry tooth, I'm wondering why nature/god/whoever saw fit to include nerves inside our teeth...

I mean seriously, what the fuck?

I know we need SOME kind of nerves in our mouths, to sense temperature, taste, etc... but why in our teeth themselves?

Couldn't the job be done just as well with nerves in the tongue or gums?

I am really pissed off at my biology right now. I'm thinking about believing in God just so I can blame this on someone.

I realize that my main problem is that my mind identifies with the pain, believing that I am the pain. By identifying with it, I'm feeding it, and it worsens..

I need to alchemize it. Maybe I'll transmute it into tacos. :levitate:

I feel your pain man.  I just had my crown removed, another root canal, and the crown replaced 2 days ago.

I think a big problem of mine is that ever since I was a kid, I've grinded my teeth at night.

Not sure what causes this, but it can't be good for structural integrity.

Well sometimes we get hard bits of shit in our food, like a piece of stray bone. But we should be able to sense that something's wrong because of the strain on our jaw muscles.
