wisdom teeth?

There is this sharp spot poking out of my gums like 2 teeth behind my sharp k-9 tooth... it doesn't hurt at all..

do you think this is a wisdom tooth that will need to be pulled?

u should consult a dentist and they will tell if it will cause complications. if it comes in str8 and fine with no pain it shouldnt be a big deal but any angularity of it can move all your teeth around and jumble em up. not a good thing unless your in the UK :laugh: hehe bad joke.

yes do consult a dentist....they may not even have room to come in (as was the case with 2 of my 4) and will create a lot of problems if they're allowed to grow in

plus you get a lot of painkillers :laugh:

i think the wisdom teeth are further back but don't trust me on that. I cut my wisdom teeth when I was hitchhiking thru VA a few years ago with no money... i still have them cause i'm too much of a pussy to go to the dentist... it's funny, i've got a history of self-mutilation (cutting), so obviously i have a high pain tolerance, but i'm scared to get my wisdom teeth pulled, or even get my teeth cleaned... go figure.

Yea... it just seems like such an insignificant thing.. I'm not even sure if it's been there for years and I just noticed it.

some people dont need to get their wisdom teeth pulled, and even if you do it's no big deal.  They set you up on an intravenous sedative drip and they say "ok, now count to ten".  I was like "one, two, three"  then I blinked, and it was over.  I went home with a mouth full of cotton and about 20 750mg vicodins :smile:

I got a healthy hit of nitrous when I had mine done. You really don't mind that some maniac in rubber gloves is cutting up your mouth, but the day after sucks.

I had one of the bloodiest oral operationnns performed on me (three floating SHARP fragments of root removed). This was due to a nasty encounter with a fist. After 3 years I finally have a root and a shiny white tooth where there was once a hole. One thing I remember about that painful surgery was the tiny and insignificant amount of pain having my wisdom teeth was. I had the operations performed practically at the same time. What did hurt was the dry sockets that resulted from insanity (2 weeks of headpounding pain while on percs) I went nuts and smoked weed like a madman and caused enough suction to pull the blood clots out of my mouth. Pretty damn sic. Thats my rant about having your mouth cut on.

Its times like this I wish I would have taken before and after pictures of my mouth. It's amazing how your gums can resemble rotting oral flesh, then heal back to perfect form.
