One-sided enforcement of the new ratings policy

It seems i cant leave negative ratings anymore

that are along the lines of "faggot"  or "terrible cocksucking poster" ETC....



and thats fine



all i ask is that if you are going to delete my ratings that i leave

its only fair that you delete the ratings left for me which are similar in nature

You could always open a support ticket and indicate that you've attempted to reach moderators about the specific ratings that you've reported and that nothing's been done.

You're probably better off getting an answer, or the situation fixed, that way as opposed to asking here.

There's probably still a very long queue after this was initiated.

Are you clicking the link to report inappropriate ratings? That is the proper way to ensure they get reviewed. If you're just shooting off PMs to random staff, it's likely your requests are simply getting lost or overlooked. If you report inappropriate rating using the proper link and they are not addressed in a timely fashion, please open a support ticket and provide information on the ratings in question.

I used report button initially

Then proceeded to pm mods

but other than that all other reported infractions have gone unnoticed

It happened to me too, I clicked the proper link "report rating" with the whistle, and then got this PM back from a moderator: "just so you are clear on this. i have not. and will not deal with any ratings issues ", LOL.

Nice system there.

lol nice, I wonder if when you do that it goes to a random moderator or it's on a list that any moderator could deal with.

If the guy is voluntarily handling requests to tell you he won't deal with them then that's pretty Effed.

Maybe a good topic for the current "Shroomery 101" sticky to cover? Also, lower the queue if so, so this type of material can actually be accommodated as such.

When you report a rating, a notification is sent out to all the mods and admins. Anybody can take responsibility for investigating the report, which will remove the notification for everyone else. I have updated the system so when a staff member investigates a rating you reported, you'll receive a PM letting you know who is handling the report, and you can contact them with any questions. I hope this helps address the perception that nobody follows up on these reports.
