Data relating to blue lights
    #1246626 -

Everyone says that mushrooms should be fruited using a light heavy on the blue side of the spectrum. I was just wondering where this tip came from. Are there any journal articles relating to this? Thanks.

Actually...
The fact is that the pin formation with P. cubensis is triggered with the blue specturm of the light.
This blue spectrum is contained in any "normal" light source, there is no need to give them only blue light....

TMC (Stamets) page 147 ("The influence of light on pinhead initiation") paragraph 2.

"A Thourough investigation on the photosensitivity of Psilocybe cubensis can be found in a master's thesis by E.R Badham (1979)..."

what follows is specific information concerning optimal wavelengths and statements that other researchers reached the same conclusions.

edit: google badham nanometer = 0 results

a blue christmas light would work, but a white one would be better.

The Actresses name is Audrey Toutau. She has been in Ameli, Le Libertine, and a bunch of others that you will not be able to get in the US. Also, they are in French.
