Yea, works fine.

Like Doc says, look for the little PP 5 symbol (it's in a triangle) and it's all good

Make sure you check that the lid is also PP5, quite often you get a PP5 tupperware with an LDPE lid which will melt in a PC.

I use PP5 fast food trays for oyster spawn. The seal round the lid on these trays hasn't been satisfactory for cubies but taping it could correct this.
I like them for oysters because they work fine and cost £2.50 for 10 (1 litre/~0.9 quart)
check the seal is good and look for ones with fairly robust/thick plastic as PP tends to harden and warp when autoclaved.

ultimately I was thinking of having a grow container that is directly inoculated en masse, a thing that fills the entire Pc. but its a stupid idea...

I sometimes use round PP5 takeaway trays because they fit in the PC better with less dead space. Usually 2 or 3 stacked though.
When I'm sterilizing casing I use a large ceramic casserole dish that perfectly fills the PC with about a 1cm gap all round. Needs a bit longer to do the middle though.

I've had good results using up to quart size pp5 containers /w LDPE lids in the pressure cooker with repeated uses.  With larger containers (2-3 quart+) I had issues with the lids warping/generally being a pain.

Make sure your containers are not on the very bottom or the direct heat will ruin them.

Its been done. Fill up a plastic PP5 tupperware, premade with silconed tyvek and injection ports in the lid. I've seen grain and horse poo work. A mixture would probably be great. Then just pop the lid off and fruit, or case. It was long ago though you may find it through searching.. I wanna say blackout was the person but I forget for sure.

But theyre funny shaped so dont fit in the PC to great, many of them that is.

check out the 'grow' pages in the gallery. i was just looking through them and came back to see your post.

http://www.shroomery.org/5293/Growing/p/51

about halfway down there's some pics of a guy (throcknroll) who was using bigger PP5's looks like he nocced them up and then fruited them like a big cake. the pics are from 2005-2007, IDK if he's still around. nothing came up on a user search with that name. if you check out the other pages there is more examples for you.
