So I'm getting implants
    #12319646 -

Not that kind that you deviants are thinking of, which is the reason that you undoubtedly clicked on this thread. I'm getting intraocular lens implanted into my eyes for myopia (near sightedness, my vision is 20/800 compared to the optimal vision of 20/20). I've always had problems wearing contact lenses for very long, and I hate wearing glasses. If you were expecting someone talking about breast implants (and you were) then here's some boobs (scroll over black rectangle).

I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up.  let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it.  Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left.  I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me.  I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it.  epic win for me, epic fail for you.

ythan, you rock dude.  i feel that my time at the shroomery was very positive and enjoyable, but this site is no longer for me. im not mad or upset or disappointed, i just want no part in a pg rated faggot festival.

One day. One day. When all medical procedures are free and all the stigma attached to a non transvestite, heterosexual men having titties is gone. A glorious day it will be.

It's not that cost ineffective if they last me as long as they should. Who knows, it could save me money in the long run if they don't cause any other problems. Contacts are simply not comfortable for me to wear, and I hate glasses. I'm fucking sick of glasses after 10 plus years. So I can't wait to see through my eyes again.

I can tell you from experience, perfect vision is a godsend.

When I was 12, I failed my school's "vision screening".  From about 6th grade onward, I was completely dependent on glasses and/or contacts.  I had horrible vision.

After something like 12 years of glasses and contacts I went in for Lasik surgery.  I sat up from the procedure and my physician said:

"look at the clock on the wall".

I could see the time perfectly.  It's been 4 years.

I went from coke bottle glasses to BETTER than 20/20 in under an hour.  Corrective surgery has been one of the best things I ever did.  I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I'm seriously fucking stoked. My eyes went bad when I was 10 years old. I'll be able to see about as soon as they're put in, too. Yeah thanks (guy above). The recovery period is about a day. They just said they'd give me some sleeping pills for after the surgery. I'll just get knocked out for awhile and wake up with perfect vision.

I remember my best friend drove me home.  About 45 min. later I was like:  "ow, something kind of hurts, but it's in a weird place, like in the back of my eyeball....but not too bad, just an inconvenience".

We hung out for a while after that.  I went to sleep, woke up, and have been at above-average vision ever since.

Even 3-4 years later, if I am walking and looking at something far off in the distance, I can notice the "crispness" of things.  For some weird reason, it's always tree leaves.  I look at trees and kind of marvel at how detailed they are.

That is pretty wild. I'll never forget the day my girl got lasik i saw her about and hour later she had the biggest grin i had ever seen didn't even wait for me to ask before she squealed "I Can See tree's like real fucking tree's" while jumping up and down like a 14yo that was a reall eye opening moment for me i had never really stopped to think how much it would suck to not be able to see the details of the world.
Good luck Op hope it works out.

Nice.

I cannot stand waking up and not being able to see out the window, or read the clock. I've also had glasses since i was 12, but usually wear contacts these days. Wearing glasses is extremely frustrating for pretty much all forms of athletic pursuits, and traveling and winter... I want Lasik so bad, hopefully will be able to afford it in a year or two.

I do know someone who had lasik done and it messed up his eyes, even though he was cautious and went to a very reputable place..

I've had great vision all my life. It seems some times when people have a disability it takes away from their understanding and reasoning. I would never wish some thing like bad vision, hearing or any physical ability on any one. Hope this works out for you op

Ya in future generations, every single person at the age of three is going to have their Normal eyes replaced with standardized high capability lenses that can zoom, see infrared, built in sunglasses. Normal eyesight will be a thing of the past.
But yea i am glad i have very good vision, and im sure ive taken it for granted, but if i had a choice... id rather be blind than deaf, cause i could still listen to music and upon taking pyschedlics, still have visions in my  head.  :naughty:

I also know some one who had this happen. They were paid off to avoid lawsuit
