Ah, well the point I'm trying to make is, one shouldn't cease having attachments with the goal of avoiding suffering.

If your goal is to avoid suffering, then that would be attachment to the concept that suffering is something entirely negative and needs to be steered away from.

If you just accept the suffering for what it is....then you can be attached to whatever you want, because you are fully aware of the fact that you might suffer as a result and are ready for it.

But maybe it is our definition of "attachment" that is varying here....

But non-attachment is pretty simple.Statements like that are pure bs for most if not all humans who have a long history of culture training.

Your right, from the perspective of mind trying to be unattached, its completely impossible, all mind does is attach, thats what it does.
Its like asking fire to be wet.

From the perspective of awareness, there is no such thing as attachment.
Its an idea & nothing more, so from the perspective of awareness, its not even 'easy', its beyond easy

I sincerely apologize if this frustrates anyones mind, as it should
I can't feel guilty about it, as i know you are awareness not the mind

Word. It's attachment to non-attachment for the purpose of avoiding suffering. Kinda what me and Chronic talked about earlier. Attaching to non-attachment =/= non-attachment.

And Ice, I say it's simple because the concept really is simple.
Putting it into practice can be very difficult.
But once you're there, it couldn't be easier.

Your mind may be, but your awareness is fully intact
You are aware of frustration, no?

Well it must be a fact that you are aware of frustration, or you could not even say 'i am frustrated'
You couldn't even say 'I'm' without first being aware
I don't believe you, youtube this frustration or it never happened!

But once you're there, it couldn't be easier.

That's true of any kind of mastery. Look at concert pianists.

I like the analogy

Id say this inquiry/contemplation i talk about is like that, you keep practicing bringing the attention back to focus on 'I'
Its starts with effort, but thins out into effortlessness
The more 'I' dissolves the more effortless existence is

Very few have what it takes to become master pianists or master anything.

It's not easy even if you are in good emotional space. But there is natural talent or proclivity, and some get a big boost from that.
