Maybe you could try reading a bit about this, instead of watching a few youtube videos and believing stuff that doesn't make much sense.
There's no way someone can hypnotize you without your consent, or get a bunny out an empty hat.

Sometimes the hype is more than the product can produce. I had a friend that was a NLP practitioner. He couldn't make a lot of it work on me. He once got so mad at me he started screaming and coming at me. I told him to go fuck himself in the dark place. He later apologized.  This was repeated several times until we became un friends.

Many people who get into NLP think it will allow them to control people to sell them all kinds of shit and then be rich. I really don't think much of that attitude.

I once timed a well-published NLP practitioner at a 2 day workshop. After 25 minutes, he hardly got the subject to be hypnoidal, let along in the 'working state' of Somnambulism. I use the David Elman Induction evry time for the first session, and attenuate it for the 2nd or 3rd (if there IS a 3rd). Rarely is a different induction needed, although I did, one time use an instantaneous induction - firing in a command to sleep, along with a surprising physical jerk of the arm. It worked, but the subject had been previously hypnotized and he knew what it felt like, so his mind just settled in that state. The olnly thing that I have not toyed with - because you can't do hypnotherapy with someone in that state - is the Esdaile State - Hypnotic Coma. You can imitate the 'waxy flexibility' of catatonics - pulling their arms or legs into some position, and they'll stay in that position! Esdaile performed some 300 limb amputations painlessly with this, but it was in India, where expectation of trance states is built into the culture, so people can go in more deeply.

You can't get someone to violate his/her personal ethics. X-rated hypnotist entertainers know that their audience is gonna have closeted exhibitionists. I was taught how to pick them out for entertainment purposes, but I really only attempted hypnosis at a large party once - unsuccessfully. "You are feeling warm now, much much warmer. You may feel like opening a button or two of your blouse. There, doesn't that feel better? Good, you are doing just fine. You might even want to remove your blouse..."

As it turns out...you're wrong. You simply aren't in a position to see before and after because nobody is coming to you with their problems. I specialize in certain things, things that I've had success with, which in turn makes me more proficient in those areas. I turn away someone almost every week who wants to stop smoking, because I don't want to deal with that problem, but I have had excellent results in other areas. Any more info and I'll be breaching my own anonymity. Believe whatever you want.
