Facing my fears
They said it would help
But I've only gotten myself stuck
Under Sisyphus' boulder
Flattened like a pancake
And totally useless

Because I ate all the bullshit
About self-improvement
And forgot about self-transcendence
Which is about knowing one's self
From a vast landscape

An infinite canvas
Stretched beyond all boundaries
Ballooned past imaginings
And unfettered from fakery

Thanks! It makes me think of the idea of ā€œspiritual materialismā€ā€¦ or maybe another way to put it, is investing too much in the development of form, the body, the personality, and forgetting it is all a mirage anyways

I got off the trail at the wrong turn
And found myself freaking down by the river
(The fractardlian freakazoid fructured fork fock)
Where whales wallop mighty spray-punches
from ocean tides
Which crept up the water-way
And wound their way like the anacondas of old

To the same spiraling sink-hole
Down the pipe
And out the Other Side
Where whales wallow soulfully
And souls swallow fireflies
Flocking fires dot the Night Sky

Forest foretell
The ancient Way to Hell
And the Night is lit up by sparkling
Soul-fires
Perspective-nodes of the New Universal Mind
Through which I see out
The same Primordial Drop
Of the dragonfly mind-Eye
