first crack at poetry....
    #1764734 - 07/31/03 02:30 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

here's my first attempt at poetry, i infact just now wrote it, i hope u enjoy...

Circles of the sun come 'round when wandering the earth,
Having not begun so late in search of meaning worth,
Unknown what happens beyond the stars when one can't see the moon,
Flowing streams of sunlight purge to form an eerie tune,
In the jungle or the desert may enly the answer,
Though through the shaman's song and dance one cannot tell the future,
The night time visions swirling in your head,
May infact, help you there if your mind be read,
When the time has come to walk the path that you must take,
The road appearing smoothest may nearly always break......

that's it..

Not bad...  One of mine, for your perusal.

So anyway I filled up the entire pad
Of yellow paper with numbers
Not just one sheet
The whole pad
Then I just looked at them
Not really a bunch of numbers
First a picture of Einstein
Then a groovy shade of dark blue
Only somehow a little orange
Then  just a concept.
The need to be better, you know?
Is that it?
Then a melody... maybe light strings.
Definitely some percussion
Like a steel drum with powdered roses
Then a feeling
Like flying only heavier
Underwater.  Over water.
By blood stopped.

Everybody, now!!

What's that you say? Another one!?! Well, who am I to say no??

There is this big fucking stain on my hands
I can't tell what it is
Greasy. Yeah feels greasy. All of me
Not just my stain, my hands
And that smell what is that smell
Smells the that color that baby puke
Looks like if colors had a smell.
I try to wipe it off
No good. I try everything. Alcohol.
(On the stain, too)
Turpentine, orange peels,
Socks, a baboon, a Louis L'Amour
Book, a tutti frutti snow cone
Even soap.
Oh God it's spreading up my arms and into
My shoulder down my chest and stomach
Through my ass, my legs my feet my neck
Faceheadhair
Nothing
That smell again
From when I was six
And I saw that guy it was that bald guy
Like Mr. Clean
He was in the corner then it wasn't the
Corner, then my whole room was too big
And it was mentholatum
I wonder who he was
Or still is.
The stain is gone.

Man, I did a lot of acid... *phew*

...herse me! [Re: GernBlanston]
    #1767678 - 08/01/03 12:33 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

tonight the air is thick
making even breathing a labor
the only relief is the wind flowing through the half-opened window
the sky a deep lavendar like a sea of spilled ink
in celebration of the changing tides, it points itselfs twards the ground
and fires blanks, causing the huddled masses to look up to the sky
all the eyes live there seprate lives but without one pair, would be a totaly different creature
has there ever been somthing so free?
the atmosphere is revolting and the clouds have overthrown the moon
if only this act of mutiny could unite the eyes for a single cause
then justice aquired and truth reborn.
if a flicker of lights can unite a sea of eyes
what can be done to unite a world of hearts?
when a cloud overtakes the sky
just think what can be done with theese hands.

maybe its alittle stupid and artsy but eh, its not bad for my first shot.

My exciting last poem for your perusal:

now sit down my lad and you'll hear a song,
that I loathe to sing though must carry on,
so you may tell your devil spawn,
of years now past and summers long.

upon a night so dark and grey,
a babe was born upon the hay,
and though she wasn't here to stay,
her parents loved her anyway.

and so it came one day I had a seat,
next to a mother with babe upon her teat,
said I, "gee miss, your teat is awful neat",
"but tis your babe I'd rather eat"

so I dids't slap that bitch and grab her kid,
and ran so far and then I hid,
from this angry mom who'd flipped her lid,
until exhausted herself she did,

now young timmy home I brought,
and prepared my favorite cooking pot,
long and hard on spices I thought,
till I felt that soon I must be shot.

and now the finest flavour was devised,
i looked at young timmy, the fear in his eyes,
betrayed his youth, so the hammer I applied,
until his tiny brain did die

now you may think this cruel: I did too,
your thoughts drift to the young child I slew,
its not that I am better than you,
its just dead babies taste great in a stew.

101 Ways to Cook Dead Babies,
coming soon from GnomeToys Inc.
