Aggression = Mental Handicap

I think any person who gets aggressive and starts fights, or goes around looking for them, is so incredibly lost and stupid that they must be intellectually handicapped, so they never perceive life is actually better when you accept everyone unconditionally, focusing on the positives, and that no one, no one is important enough to make them angry.

Has the last 20,000 years of war and aggression collectively symbolized that we are all a bunch of fucking retards? Or... are we psychotic? Because we think we are individuals, not One?

Peace, love, and bliss are surely the only maxims you need to live through this very simple and transient adventure called life.

What makes you an individual, weren't you just raised that way? A lot of what we learn from the system is garbage. There are no boundaries to you.

I agree I'm being a bit too black and white. I'm thinking specifically about people who go out clubbing just to start fights, and then all this violence and 'manliness' is praised as being, well, manly.

Yeah that's the attitude I've come to accept now that my fear of them has diminished. I was hopeful to try and understand them so I wouldn't fear them, and I figure now they're probably just retards. Literally, though.

Sorry I was being a blunt before- what I mean is you may be an individual, but who's air are you breathing, the trees made it, who spreads the trees seeds around? Birds do, who keeps the bird population in check, cats, and so on and on, just watch a nature documentary. That's the long way of realizing you don't have a separate existence from anything around you, and that's intellectually speaking. Then comes the mystical union - how is your mind different to any other mind?

For the most part anger is the result of an irritated mind. Sometimes the people with the most anger actually have the biggest hearts deep down. It is the people around them that are no good!

Sometimes anger is needed. Few things get done without passion, and passion is often a subcategory of anger. To make a big change, for the better or worse, requires anger or resentment of a current situation. It's the energy of that anger that gives us the will to DO something about it.

Hi, I'm Lunar and I Have An Anger Management Issue.  When I drink I feel good for a while but sometimes get angry then too.  Like a while back got so drunk ran my toe into a corner and you wanna talk about pain!  Boy did I feel stupid too cause the toenail fell off and that's never good.

The good news however is that with the help of the Good People at the Shroomery I am able to safely (I hope) release a little of that anger hopefully not as real anger but real emotion and if that sometimes means being cranky or pissy well hey I'm old and that's how it goes.  I mean what the hell do I really have to be angry about?  I'm a white male living in the Good Old US of A. No cause for anger, right?

Boilers have pressure relief valves for a reason and they get tested periodically just to be sure they will work under real pressure.

Doesn't it always seem like the guy who savagely murders his entire family is described as a "nice friendly guy who didn't talk much"
by the stunned neighbors?

I am working at being sweet all the time but it's a work in progress.  And honey applied liberally gets old.

I think the OP was referring more to skinhead type behavior going out finding someone to boot on.  That I would say is not only aggression out of meanness but it's the adrenaline rush and the thrill of the hunt that drives some.

It's like hunting not for food but for "sport" so you can chop some beautiful animals head or horns or both off maybe a bear rug in front of your fireplace.  Now that shit pisses me off and makes me want to do some hunting of my own.  Course I would do the sporting thing and kill them with a golf club.
