Thinkers can be divided into two kinds
    #11844464 -

There are two different kinds of people.  Some people, for one reason or another, live within a framework of ideas.  Other people, do not.

Discuss.

Other people, do not.

They must not think at all.
They have accepted that everything has been explained sufficiently.
Their motivation to contemplate even 'status quo' explanations is non-existent.
They lack confidence in their ability to create.
They choose to consume and adopt others content instead of create their own.
They would rather be entertained because those ideas seem satisfactory and engaging.  Perhaps more stimulating...
Their scope is one of conformity.
Their stance is passivity.
They know not what they do.
They do...?  Not.

That is a good take on society. Because those who are considered outside of society are the ones that are living outside of the framework of ideas. Everyone else has swallowed the pill and lies of mother culture and decided to live within the contraining ide

Anyone who thinks they are living outside the realm of ideas is living squarely in it.

So, are you living in a realm of ideas?
The duality you propose in OP is an idea, and you are treating it as true. To me that suggests you're as much wrapped up in ideas as anyone else.

It seems to me that anyone who has "transcended" ideas would not go around saying "Hey you -- you are either A or B. Select one."

Anyway, what do you even mean by that sentence? ^
The people who live outside their own ideas do not know that they do so?
There are no people who live outside ideas?
Is someone who "knows" they live outside ideas somehow barred from also "thinking" that they do so?
Forgive me, but I fail to see your point.

Every human lives within a framework of ideas, and every human is unique, so therefore, thinkers can be divded into exactly as many kinds as there are humans.

I mean, if you're thinking, you're in a framework of ideas.  So "counter-culture" is really just "culture" when it comes to holding ideas.

Hes right.  But he had  no point, he directed us to discuss, thts the point.  its clear that this is a case of the glass and its fullness.
Its not that anyone really thinks outside of the box, we just find a bigger cardboard box and hop in it:quagmire:

Thoughts cannot always be defined by a single "framework of ideas".  Thoughts brought on by spiritual experiences for example, can drastically shake an individuals framework of ideas by proving previous truths wrong.  How could the framework that built the building try to bring it down as well. Saying that all individual thoughts come from the same single "frame work of ideas" is silly.

"Thoughts cannot always be defined by a single "framework of ideas""

Sure they can.

"Thoughts brought on by spiritual experiences for example, can drastically shake an individuals framework of ideas by proving previous truths wrong. "

What is a "spiritual experience"?  How do I know when I'm having one?  How do I know for sure?

"How could the framework that built the building try to bring it down as well. Saying that all individual thoughts come from the same single "frame work of ideas" is silly. "

I'm not saying they come from it.  I'm not making any causal inferences.

Where's the causal inference in that?  Do you know what a causal inference is?  Its like one thing happens after another.  What you quote is just BS separating things with words, not causality.

"What is a "spiritual experience"?  How do I know when I'm having one?  How do I know for sure?"

How can you know for sure that your in love? If you have ever had the joy of being in such a state you are aware that the only explanation of this state is "well you just know".  Similarly your spiritual experience could be drastically different from my own but I still consider both to be spiritual if we consider the experience to be such.

But I think your just arguing to argue so... anyways

When did I say anything about being enlightened?

"Stop pretending you have become enlightened and that your decision to cease searching is healthy. :strokebeard:"

I'll continue to search, but not for the truth.  It cannot be missed.
