To program a programmer.

With all the alpha males out there leading the path for others, while others follow. Do you ever think someone who is religious would ever give into your consideration that "god" might not be real. To them it's blasphemy. Society as a programmer, while other people literally fall in line to be the awaited program. Now imagine if you had a chance to talk to people and get them to change thier minds on certain subjects, like religion. What would make it from you to them, even given a intelligent argument they still cling to religion like a fish on a hook.

Social norms is where we get the most followers, but then again the social norm was created within itself as a structure for normal human behavior. Don't follow those norms, don't follow anything that isn't your own. Be one with yourself and learn to be one with others.

I think there's nothing you can do except expose people to everything and give them the tools to analyze and come to a reasonable conclusion for them as part of the whole of society.

There are those teachers that leave out important concepts and teach based on memorization or being dogmatic, not understanding a concept aside from knowing, "That's just the way it is."  I mean, we, as a society have come a long way from that. 

No offense, but your idea is water under the bridge as far as what's going on today.  I'm not a huge fan of using this term, but I think there's a more "progressive" mentality today and with the grass roots efforts on this generation, we will see future generations extremely skewed as far as what the norm is today.
