If you could make a weapon what would it be/it's functions?

It could be worse. A woman could cut off your penis while you're sleeping and toss it out the window of a moving car.

short range missile that seeks motion that has no heat associated with it.

at 10 to 15 feet before the motion, it would pop a cloud of pea sized anti-personnel munitions. they would be an equal mix of incediary, razorwire-filled explosive, and flechette.

make the missile about the size of an old Browning Machine Gun .50 caliber round..6 to a clip, semi auto, stick it on a Barret .50 frame and keep the optics.

i'd want at least a 300 yard range...happier with 600.

but think about it directed cluster bombs.

it would cut wide chunks down, the better to clear a path to run thru. some days you are just gonna have to run, and a shotgun won't do this.

I'd go with a machine gun that has an end like the minigun +mountable flame and grenade throwers. With a nightvision scope on the top.

We already have a Zombie apocalypse...
Wake up. Go to work. Buy food and clothing. Sleep. Repeat.

This endless cycle is why we have global warming, world hunger, ect. But people do not have a clue that they are doing it! Because they "just do there job." or "have to pay the rent" or "need to do this" or "need to do that".

JUST STOP!

And lawns, why the fuck do we have lawns when we have a food shortage????? Think of all the food that can be produced where lawns are right now...
We are Zombies.

back to guns...i like flame throwers but they have even more of a fuel and weight issue than chainsaws.

incediary grenades FTW.

the mk 19 is sweet, but it's ballistic, not powered.

it has no way to tell live from dead before detonating.

and it's not man portable.

not by this man, and certainly not shoulder fired.

but if i can't have my dexter's laboratory gun, it sure would do in a pinch.

Regardless of whether or not zombies can swim, I can say for certainty that they don't have to worry about drowning.

Btw, napalm seems like it'd be fun.

Yeah if they got within arms length you're fucked.. especially if they are of the 28 days later kind because they're always spewing infected blood around too...  so you get bit or a bit of blood splats into your eye or mouth.... you realise you have around 20 seconds to live.

You try to have one last wank but fail to climax..you shout 'FFFUUUU' and die with your pen0r out, then you're the laughing stock of the zombies because your penis is hanging out.

that calico has a unique spiral clip that allows you to just dump boxes of ammo into the chute when reloading. you wind this little crank to compress the spring and the ammo sorts itself in the load chute.

it's neat as hell, and WOULD be the bomb for critical ZOMG it's zombies at the door and i'm shot dry moments....

and the clips are plastic so light as hell, you could carry two extra on each leg..that's 500 shots of .22 LR.

damn fine idea.:jah:

Re: Zombie apocalypse [Re: Effed]

this thread inspired me to spend like 5 hours on gun forums and google looking up various .22 rifles.  i hope to get one when i'm able to get established in the states for cheap target practice and small game.  i'm having severe difficulty deciding which factors are most important in my decision though  [durability, budget, weight/storability, bolt vs semi-auto, .22 short/long/LR compatibility, etc].  can any of you gun guys tell me some .22s that would be capable of puncturing a zombie's skull from 75yards?  or do you think they all would be able to?  it's not necessary for it to be a clean entry and exit.  in fact, just an entry would be ideal.

some of the models i've been intrigued by, listed from least to most expensive.

marlin 60 semi-auto - super cheap, supposedly fairly accurate and durable.
ruger 10/22 semi-auto - cheap, tons of mods; though honestly, i highly doubt i'd do any mods
remington 597 semi-auto - cheap, solid reputation for durability and accuracy.  moderate to heavy weight.
AR-7 survival semi-auto - affordable, super light, super compact when packed into gun butt; seems like the ideal survivalist .22, but i'm not sure about the power, range, accuracy or dependability.
CZ 452 lux bolt action - kinda expensive.  great reputation for quality and accuracy.  kinda heavy.  only bolt action, so bad in a group.
marlin 39A lever action - expensive, fantastic reputation for being quality, durable, and accurate.  uses .22 S, L, & LR.  kinda heavy.  only lever action, so bad in a group.
remington speedmaster 552 semi-auto - more expensive than i'm comfortable with, great reputation for quality and accuracy.  uses .22 S, L, & LR.  heavy.

oh the decisions!

I'd go with the remington speedmaster 552 semi-auto or something average with a lot of mods.

oh man.. that one's like 550-600 brand new.  i'm in no hurry though.  hell i've still got six or seven months of traveling left ahead of me before i even make it back to the states, let alone get settled in with a job and a place.  but imma start keeping an eye out and pawn shops once i get back to see if i can spot a deal.  it'd be friggin awesome to find an older 39A  mountie or 552 speedmaster in decent condition for under 300.
