Illegal?  I could have sworn I saw them being sold at the head shop like a week or two ago.  Why/where are they illegal?

Ugh...  they're not illegal.  They've been banned.  Along with the words "light" and "mild" when referring to cigarettes.

it's quite simple.

"ban" is the opposite of "ran".

The ban is to prevent the tobacco companies from marketing to children.  Flavored tobacco crosses the line, according to the government.

If you, as an adult, are smoking them though, it's fine.

Personally I think tobacco is stupid so it's fine with me xD

Whats the point?  Haven't we beaten the tobacco industry enough?  Can't we start banning corn syrup or bicyclists who cut in front of me when I'm going 50?

yea i dont smoke for the nicotine. its just a pleasurable relaxing activity for me, possibly explainign why i only smoke cloves, they smell good, they give me a nice floaty feeling, and they relax me. the same goes for dip. i do it for the head rush and the euphoric feelings and the taste and the activity.

maybe i do them both for the nicotine some here and there but not like an addiction would have you doing them.

The bicyclist cutting in front of you has been banned.  That's illegal.

There is documentation that the tobacco companies do attempt to market to all people, including children.

Strawberry flavored cigarettes were banned, and so were bubblegum flavored cigarettes.  Do you think *those* were marketed towards adults?  Cloves just got grouped into that category when the ban was written up.  Flavored cigarettes (with the exception of menthol) have been banned.

What I don't understand is how these kids are getting flavored cigarettes. Most kids who have their first cigarette steal one from their parents pack and their parents surly are not buying flavored cigarettes.

Likely an 18 year old friend (or friend of a friend) who they're paying off with their allowances.  I'm damn sure smoking cigarettes will make you popular in middle school.

Funny,I just had a short discussion about bodily invasion by authorities forces that tell us what we can and can't use on the anti LSD thread.

I used to buy cigarettes for my brother when he was 16.  He would have gotten them elsewhere if I didn't.  He could have asked me to buy two packs, and I would have, not knowing that the other pack was for his, say, 14 year old friend.  I could have bought cigarettes for a 14 year old and not known about it I guess.
