will i ever be allowed to visit USA?

im wondering how strict they are over there? when i was young we was told that if you did something bad it endet up in the police records and then you couldnt visit usa and a few others countries...


well i havent exactly been a good boy all my life and have been in court 3 times and found guilty everytime, mostly cannabis possesion and sale but also possesion of illegal firearm (it was a damn hunting rifle i had taken in security for some money someone owned, i didnt even have bullets), never large amounts of cannabis either, most i was caught with was 450 grams which i did 16 days in jail for.

so im guessing in the eyes of the us gov im a convicdet drug dealer who has also had illegal weapons , so in their eyes i probably qualifies as a terrorist of some sort lol

so i was wondering just how strict they are,, see my brother lives in boston and goes to university there and i would like to visit him at one point.

Do you guys think that with my criminal record i would be allowed to visit usa for 3 weeks? or is it just for green card they are so damn strict ? green card means working permission right?

I'm not sure, but I think it would help if you mentioned where you are from.

450 grams isn't a large amount!? That's a pound of weed man. Not a huge amount, but that's no petty bust.

Depending where you live, you can "play the spy" and get new records with different name info, taht is you really want to go. You will have to spend money and create new bank accounts of your new self.

So there is a new you that never was arrested or anything. Yes it illegal and you could get in trouble, but its all a performance that if you know your steps right, it will go ok.

Or you just can go see what happens, but you already know.

im so not gonna break any laws :laugh: not to get in or not when im staying, ive seen too much on Oz to end up n jail in the us. i dont think im even gonna smoke weed if i ever get there , better safe than sorry. usa and middle east and asian countries im like that, i show the most respect for any laws there becuase the punishments are insane compared to the crime.

oh well, guess im not gonna see usa then , ive been there before tho, both in new york and los angeles \ but this was when i had a clean record

I know my sister's boyfriend came from the Netherlands to California for college. He ended up stranded in the California for 6 years because if he ever left the USA he wouldn't be allowed back in. I'm pretty sure he had at least one or two possession charges of one drug or another...he was a bit of a wild boy. So, if you end up being able to get into the USA, make sure you avoid this Homeland Security nightmare if you ever want to return!

I will email the american embassy here in norway and see what they says about the laws to visit usa.

I don't see why not. We allow people to come in from Mexico,that have done alot worse crimes.

My friend is from Thailand. He was here on a student visa. He is in Japan now and he can't come back to U.S for at least 10 years...

If you got caught with that over here, you'd probably never see Norway again, that's if the cops didn't just blow your head off or beat you into a coma.

I'll tell you what... Let's trade identities for a few weeks! You can hang out in New Jersey and I'll go assume your life in Norway. :smile:

It happened to me once. a 350lb Vietnam Vet wandered into my house one day while I was in bed. He was all drunk on Kesslers and wanted to know if he could have a beer that was on my back porch.

I felt sorry for the guy, but when he passed out drunk I called the cops and they came and got him.

They were already aquainted with him. Apparently wandering into people's houses drunk is a hobby of his.
