do i need F'in drip glass for the humitidy y? and

do i need F'in drip glass for the humitidy when im useing a cold air humitifier y? these mushrooms grow in the wild with rain poring down on them  so y do i need a drip thing........ and were can get perlite?  im sick of humidifiers  tho mine is good{cold air humidifier  made by home lite} very GOOD  but i wont to grow mushrooms inside my couch :grin: and theres not enouph room for the big humitifiers........... :confused:

i don't know if you have one around you, but i got mine at home depot. as far as the drip sheild i agree with you! in the wild it rains on em, specially the strains from tropical rainforests...... my friend dosentt have one, and he mists spray over em, and they're growing............

Perlite is in every pet store, plant store, walmart, zellers, it's everywhere...don't know why people have such a hard time finding it....

We'll the pet stores here usualy carry stuff for plant's as well....Wal-mart is defiantly the best for supplie's although i hate supporting the financialy biggest corporation in the world....

and in answer to your oher question (really i just wanted to see the naked chick again, hehehe) apparently a drip shield isn't essential:

you can reduce the humidity intake (drying stages, or a timer - or just perlite, and forget the machine altogether) so that drops don't form on the lid. if they still do, try smearing the lid with something - i've read that vaseline and rubbing alcohol both prevent drop formation. probably that stuff you spray on the insides of ski goggles does it, too.
