I'd be highly surprised that all of the sudden a handshake with the Saudi officials wouldn't be acceptable.
With the amount of business we do with Saudi Arabia, I wouldn't be surprised if walking in and saying "Wut up G?" and bumping elbows wouldn't be acceptable.

I don't know what his reason was.  It could've been done out of being nervous and trying to 'make good' just as well as it could possibly have something to do with his Muslim roots.... who knows... the point is, he did it and it wasn't appropriate.
If it were appropriate, the White house wouldn't have said "it wasn't a Bow".

Well, while I have an urge to continue discussing this with you, I'm going to have to switch gears

You make an interesting statement about the government. A lot of the PR is used to cover up inappropriate actions. I doubt that is always true, but it certainly is prevalent to a point of absurdity. Although I'm not sure the alternative, propaganda, is any better.

I don't agree with you that this white house release was to cover up inappropriate behavior rather than trying to reap the most political gain, but since neither of us knows the 'why' and never will, we'll just have to remain on opposite ends.
