Ironically enough yes.
I mean there are tons and tons of artists I don't like more, but I also don't hear them very much.
Really I put brokeNCYDE and Attack Attack on there because I was talking about them and their shittyness earlier with my roommate.

Lists like this usually include artists that I'm subject to for various reasons.

So

Animal Collective
Velvet Underground
Atmosphere

It goes beyond the music though.

I don't listen to most mainstream shit nowadays, if I looked at the top 40 i'd probably find a good 10 or so bands that I hate right away but here are 3 off the top of my head

1. Supertramp (used to like them, now I find them insufferably annoying)
2. Hot Hot Heat (utter shit)
3. Architecture In Helsinki (too sugary)

Damn, you are on a roll with Green Day. That's my #1.  I don't dislike Sublime, but outside of the famous champion song by Queen I never liked them either.

Right now the artist that makes me really want to garrot my own throat is Nickleback.

1. Any high-pitched chipmunk-sounding japanese pop singer. I don't see how ANYONE is legitimately into this kinda shit. It's gotta be the mind playing tricks.

Surprised VU was mentioned twice... and sublime? fucking influential shit right there. same with VU, for that matter.

I [mostly] hate:

Greenday
U2 (a few songs are exceptions)
j-pop shit, metal shit

and Jack Johnson, but only because I've heard him WAAAAY too much. surfer roommates will do that to you.

Lady Gaga is the first ultra-mainstream pop act I actually like in ages, actually. But I get teased for that plenty.

Like I said it goes beyond just the music.
Honestly I listen to a few songs here and there. And I don't think MPP is any better or worse than their other shit.

I just can't stand constant dick riding. AC gets it. Of my friends that I listen and talk music with I'd say all but maybe one would include them in a list of favorite bands. Which means I used to have to hear them nonstop and how good they are. Coupled with their popularity in various communities I just got fed up. There are so many more bands I'd rather listen to.

Also it really culminated when I saw them live this summer. It was about when I was getting completely fed up with them. But I figured "Fuck it, I'll check 'em out. My friend I'm with really likes them, they're supposed to have a good live show." Holy shit was it bad. Their DJ set sucked and their set sucked. I liked 'em enough that I would check them out live again if it was a good show. It wasn't. I honestly wouldn't ever pay to see them, even if I was by myself and in a good mood. Actually I wouldn't even go see them for free.

Call me unreasonable all you want.

Partially why I dislike VU so much. I listen to a ton of music that they influenced so I hear about them all the time. Also another band my friends love. However I find their music completely intolerable so that's the first and foremost reason.
