Mushroom Entities?

I have been looking up about psychedelic entities from DMT mostly, but I also hear terence mckenna says they are also from mushrooms, and I heard some people on here that they have seen them on LSD.


What do you think?

Have you seen them on different drugs?

What have you heard people like terrence, ect. say about it?

the only thing i ever saw as an entity was this Egyptian looking woman dancing in an interesting 3rd matrix looking way everything was shaded red but very detailed, it was closed eye , the image came after a little while of transing out, but i dunno could of been my imagination?

The most common form of entity encountered on psilocybin comes in the form of an autonomous voice. At really high doses, the entities will sometimes take on a visual form usually when the eyes are closed. Terence McKenna called them the Logos. Apparently these voices are very intelligent and usually give the tripper some sort of useful/significant information. I personally have yet to interact with the Logos but I hope to someday. the only entity ive seen was a duck-like alien, which made a horrible/beautiful quacking/gurgling sound, coming in from 360 degrees, which constantly changed pitch. it meant something infintely infinite. it was quite unclear, and i still dont fully understand what happened. it was very difficult to grasp.

it was a cev, seen on about 2.4g of dried p subs.

When I was on 5g of shrooms I was contacted by aliens. They told me I was doing the right thing :shrug:

mckenna was a grade-A crackpot, yes he explained himself very well and in a very easy to listen to way,
but crackpot nonetheless.

anyhow, in regards to these entities, lol at wondering whether you saw them or if they were your imagination.
you are experiencing hallucinations from a psychedelic drug. its alll coming from in your head.
as such i believe that reccurring entities are just manifestations of various parts/mechanisms of your subconcious psyche.
considering all these drugs are psyche(mind)-delic(manifest) its no surprise that you could 'contact' them on a variety of differnt chemicals.

Yeah but if you believe in the reality of the psyche like Carl Jung did, then it isn't "just in your head" it's a big deal, even if voices or entities are coming from within your subconscious you can still treat them as external.

That doesn't explain how the person tripping receives knowledge from the voices/ entities that he or she didn't have previously. This is an excerpt from the link I posted:

I don't really believe in entities.I've seen and felt them but i always could link them to something in my reality.Like when this horrible monster was screaming at me on what felt to be the border to hyperspace on DMT and as i came down i realized it was just a poster i had on the wall that took on a frightening experience...dunno...maybe i just haven't been deep enough.

Oookay!
First off,thanks for making this a great debate of a thread.
Second, I think there is something to be said for both sides of the argument. Yes, many times entities do represent the subconscious and that is very important realm to have access to.
But, there are some pretty insane, and totally true, experiences with "the other", especially on DMT, that I believe have to be something more than the subconscious. I am not superstitious, I am very against organized religion, but I myself do recognize there are somethings out there in the psychedelic realms realms that have extreme importance.
You hallucination, I say portal to other universe.

mckenna enjoyed the sound of his voice too much imo.

i've met entities on mushrooms that were inherent to the plant. they were made of pure light. the mushroom people told me at one point to take it easy on the mushrooms and take a year off because i had seen too much and wasn't gonna be able to process it through well enough to remain sane, so i took a year off.

^^Yeah they told me the same. Almost every time I take mushrooms, the entities, tell me I didn't need to take them again.

Eccentric, Yes.
But he was no crackpot LOL

Something to keep in mind when listening to McKenna...
His thoughts and feelings about some subjects were ever changing.
I don't know if he ever completely made up his mind on the issue of entities.

Never seen any 'entities' or felt any real physical presence on any drug...except mescaline.  Every time I trip on cactus (T. pachanoi), I see a metallic, radiating grasshopper at some point in my trip.  My closed eye visuals generally feature this grasshopper, which always appears in the left side of my field of vision.  It's weird thinking about it in a sober state, but when I'm "there" its awesome to see the little feller.

ok yeah mckenna has done some good speeches and i have felt somewhat informed and enlightened after listening to a couple of them.

i take back my previous post, and il leave it as he had crackpot tendencies, but i mean timewave zero? come ON!
il stop derailing this thread with that now.


ive gotta say there are a few occasions when i have belived that i was in contact with entities from 'somewhere else'
most of the time il realise afterward it was just antother little mindtrip in the midst of my night on acid/shrooms however when i did DMT i came back really torn.
i remember saying "holy fuck guys, we might actually be able to contact other dimensions" it felt that meaningful.
few days later id thought it over an come to the conclusion that powerful psychedelics can make you feel a lot of different things,
and wouldnt put it past them to make me feel that something is so meaningful it must be coming from somewhere else than my own brain.
in short contacting entities just fills me with more and more wonder at the power of our own brain.
