I voted yes because poles are useless information, just like stats
They can seem incredible, but 90% of them are untrue
Even if they are true, so what? We hear them, go 'WOW!' Then forget about it...
The only stats that would be good for development would be personal stats not general stats like - 'Debunker' has made 10,000 posts about debunking spirituality' Then 'Debunker' might see how obsessed with spirituality he really is

They're not useless if people are 100% honest.

How are they useful though? What goal is achieved?
The only goal i can see (for us here) is changing forum rules So unless the poll is about forum rules, its useless
Im very open to you prooving me wrong....please do!

The polls I'm making are about whether or not you guys are interested in having my ideas implemented.

Im not interested in your ideas, i am interested in you, the one who has ideas
Although your ideas about subforums etc... were okay i suppose But i feel all forums should be open to newbies too, we were all newbies... but subsections for S&P regulars are okay too
I just doubt id use it...most people who have been round here for a while have a severe chip on thier shoulder

Well, this forum isn't about individual posters, it's about their posts; if you're interested in me, then just shoot me a couple of 's.

My idea wasn't about a sub-forum, it was about a sticky thread where only official regular users may post in

I said i was very open to being prooven wrong... Which btw you didn't do...
We are talking about polls for THIS FORUM, being useless The only good that could come from a poll in this forum, is one about the forum itself All other polls would be useless
We dont elect the president at the shroomery

if we took a poll on most effective ways to prevent contamination when growing, you don't think that would be useful?

No. As long as they are in line with the forum they appear in. No objection.

That is the least popular forum, IMO.

Yes, but that would be in the cultivation forum, so it would be about that forum My point was that polls in the forum, about anything outside the forum, are useless
I think we got our wires crossed as you thought i was saying ALL polls are useless?
That would be saying democracy is stupid, which would be stupid!
