Tools Of The Trade - What do you take with you on hunts?
    #11308801 - 10/23/09 11:15 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

In light of the 'people's faces' thread, I thought this might be a fun one too.

I'll start off...  Besides a decent pair of shoes, this is what I usually bring along:

Hah!  It's a flashlight.  I end up out when it's dark a lot and it helps when diging through thorn bushes during sunset.

I get a new pair of gloves every week (they're only $2) and use them to move brush out of the way without getting poked or burned by stinging nettle.

The scissors are my favorite pair ever!  They are Klein electrician's scissors (you can get 'em at Lowe's or Home Depot) and they'll cut through just about anything.  I get a nice slice with them when snipping shroom stems and they fit well in my jeans pocket.

Ok...  I think that covers everything but the water, paper bag, and smokes.  I'm pretty sure you guys can figure out what all that is for.

Everyone should own a good set of handheld pruning shears. Helps getting all the rose bushes and brambles out of your way to get to the mushrooms that like to hide under them.
