Animals with Souls?

Do you think animals have souls?

(I believe they do)

Do you think animals have 7 chakras? Or do you think they just have a 'smaller' soul because of their intelegence?

Do you think all creatures have simillar souls but their physical brains do not allow any way of using thier 'full potential'?

Yes I think animals have souls. In a way(I think) we(people, animals, plants, aliens?, maybe even rocks) are all one soul living out infinite lifetimes from an infinite number of perspectives simutaneously.

As for the chakra thing, don't ask me. Do a google search or something.

Yikes....I raise them and eat them....I debate this with myself often.....

All I do know is if I am going to eat them I had better be damn ready to take their life. I think it's cheating to think animals are sentient and then eat them without being willing to off them for the sustinece they provide....and be truly thankfull for that life....

They are not exactly primitive lifeforms. Asserting ourselves on the top of the animal kingdom is an error in judgement in my opinion on a spiritual level. We should share what we have with them and not dominate over them just cause we don't know what they say to each other and they obviously don't communicate to us in proper English.

Exactly! Well, not exactly. Because most other animals besides humans are primitive lifeforms, in a good way. They have been around for so much longer than us. They have had more time to evolve and develop and become more complex. We are the latest step in the evolutionary ladder.

So I think it is an error in judgement to assert ourselves at the top of the animal kingdom!

I always get the feeling like animals, whenever i see them while tripping, are looking down at humans or rather with humans. "See buddy, I told you this is what it was like. You silly robot.", so said the pigeon.

I think that the souls of animals enlarge when they contact humans. It is not just that we change their thinking and domesticate them.....their soul actually conforms more to that of the human soul.....in short...it gets bigger.

Kind of makes you think about a human coming into contact with God......does the human soul enlarge....maybe even take on God-like characteristics and abilities?

i have a cat, and i feel connected in a way, i believe that animals have a soul to an extent. perhaps animal souls are what you begin with, and work your way up to human than from human. who knows...

i do know, its all about 'the experience'

I think they do absolutely, they just don't have the mental capacity to fully understand it or even acknowledge it. I think i'm closer to my two dogs then any human on this earth. I always lay on the carpet and they come over and show so much love and affection, I feel so close to them. I believe love is the only emotion that comes from the soul.

Try this simple experiment. Don't feed them for a week. (It won't hurt them.) Then come back and tell us how much "love" they show you.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.
