yes, it's best to pick just as the veil breaks for max potency. people let them grow past that for two reasons(maybe more). 1. to get a print, you have to let it open up a little more. 2. to take pictures and have them look prettier :smile:

as for potency loss, it doens't really lose potency, it jsut stops/slows down producing the good chemicals, so you get the same potence, but more mass.

off of cakes i wouldn't worry about picking all at once. if you're casing, it's a good idea, though.
