Crowley enjoyed frightening people, if you get into his teachings it's actually quite wholesome.

Also, 'worship' is not the right word. That's like saying everyone here 'worships' mushrooms.

i actually agree with some of the things he says. do as though wilt and all that the guy sounds pretty progressive for 100 years ago. recreational drug use also gets my approval.

Why does Leary get all the blame, yet no one blames Ken Kesey?  Leary repeatedly emphasized set and setting, promoted LSD mainly as a psychological tool for metaprogramming, and was mainly speaking as a cultural critic.  Kesey, on the other hand, had a psychedelic bus that went around the country with LSD-spiked orange juice, and threw wild acid parties all over the country.  So why do people always paint Leary as the "reckless" one?

I generally save the term genius for artists and inventors but yeah he's one of the most intelligent men in CA.

I don't know about some of his analogies though. :lol:

He's a commentator on the History Channel's The Universe.

For some reason, everything that comes out of his mouth cracks me up.

in my psychology class we watched some leary videos of him talking about diamonds. my psychology teacher likes him.

I didn't even see this...

1) Tell me of one "Pagan God" you actually know of without searching on Google... "Pagan Gods"

2) Do you have any idea about Paganism/Celticism/Druidism? Christianity is an entirely Pagan based religion!!!! Paganism is based off of Druidism (and so on and so forth)... You make it appear like it's "evil" when the reality is it's mostly egalitarian and has everything to do with nature, love, spirit, sun worship, lunar worship, celestial worship, animal worship, plant worship, entheogenic substance worship, ETC. ETC. ETC.

3) The deity you described is known by many names, it is a "Stag God" (Deer) and has absolutely nothing to do with Evil nor Satan Worshiping. Study Druidism to understand more. Also, the Pentagram just symbolizes polar opposites (male/female, yin/yang) and Ancient Geometry...

Errr...I agree with most of your post, but this is bullshit.  Christianity is an Abrahamic faith -- it is founded on Judaism.  Now, it was largely based on a form of Judaism that had been influenced by Hellenistic(Greek) thought, but its origins are manifestly Jewish.  It did pick up aspects of Norse and Celtic paganism in the course of trying to convert them, but the fundamentals of the faith are of Greco-Jewish origin.
