Leary pretty much did more damage to LSD than the government ever could of. Which is why I think he was put there by the government to do just that.

That's quite probable. After all, they desperately needed a scapegoat at the time. It was either a really big coincidence or he was in the bag.

and even if his later claims aren't exactly factual, i'm glad someone came up with them -- bullshit, maybe ... but interesting bullshit for sure
