HELP! green mold on both bags :(

Hey,

I just checked both my grow bag's and they had a little green mold on them(only had them 6 days)

Please dont tell me I have to chuck them away.
I did'nt open the bag but pressed it out the way to the top of the bag so its not touching the good stuff.

I wraped 2 grow bags in bin bags, placed them into a small plastic container, and put that in a bigger plastic container with water inside and a fishtank heater. could this be anythign to do with it?
the bags are not getting wet from what I can see.

Please help!

If there is green then it cant be saved. Its mold

Well if there green then you have to chuck them sorry.

So you used an incubator eh they are fine at room temp to colonize. See the higher the temps the faster myc could colonize but its also more favorable for contams

so evan if i move t he green mold away. theres no chance its going to work? I was also told to use an incubater by the supplyer :@

Well the suppler is an idiot you don't need an incubator room temp 70-75 is fine. Theres no hope for the bag the Mold has already sporulated everywhere Im guessing

no there was only a little bit on eat bag. could I not cut it open and remove it myself?
there are no signs of mold anywhere else....

you do that and you contam the whole bag there only 6 days old they cant be opened. and trust me if you see green already its to late there are mold spores everywhere

Its up to you but for me I would get it out of my house very quick and deem it a failure and try try again

Dude, NO.  Throw it out. The mold was there BEFORE you saw the green.  Green = mold spores.

Sorry bra, You can ask all day long. Same answer.  Um, nope. :shrug:

this sucks! £41 on nothen! why would someone tell you to do it if it dont work?!?!? could it maybe be that it was sent out tuesday and I didnt get it till a friday. could it have gone off?

Depends on where you got it mate. As long as it doesn't get too hot and it comes from a sponsor it's viable. The issue is probably your sterile technique, (happens to all of us).
