Bought these to make monotubs (pics)

How will these make for monotubs? they are shorter than usualy crates but very long and wide, making for lots of shroomies. i bought 4 of them and plan on stacking them.

They may do u should shoot for about 15 inch tall mono tub..  Cause u should be putting about 5 inches of substrate in there so that wont leave alot of room to grow big and tall.

I got mine at Target for $7 each on sale. Walmart has them cheap as all hell too. Go to the store and you will save money.

Yeah I get sterilte 66quarts tubs from walmart for 5.50 they are about 16inches tall

13 inches tall is ok.. 4 inches of sub gives 9 inches for fruit..
that should be fine

It will work but it will not form an optimal "fruiting atmosphere." In my experience shrooms act like goldfish to some degree.. the larger the bowl the larger the goldfish will grow. If there is not much room between the casing and lid, it will cause the shrooms to grow shorter.

I use tubs almost that exact same size but dub tub them, while also using a fish tank air pump to pump in fresh air 15 min every hour to increase fresh air exchange. Doing this caused my 1st flush to go from 3/ 12 oz when tub was used as a mono to 9 oz as dub tub with air pump.

I paid a little more for my container that I am using as a shotgun fc.

but, it is 18" tall (33 gallon).  even with 5" of perlite I will still have plenty of room for cakes or trays + growth.

I ordered mine from the container store online after spending a few different days, and about 10 different store visits locally trying to find a tall & large container.

it was just under $40 shipped.
