tattoos and covering scars

I have a few scars on my wrist from way back when I was in middle school.  Unfortunately, it was something dumb that the girl I was with and myself both did.  I didn't even do it right either.  You're supposed to go down the road, not across the street. :lol:

Anyway, I picked up some mederma but I'm just not sure if that'll ever get it to go away.  It says you have to apply it a few times a day for as much as 6 months for older scars.  I just don't know if I can even remember to use it that much and I'm not sure it would work that well even if I did.

Was recently at a tattoo parlor though and the guy said that a tattoo could cover it up.  Is that true?  I figured I'd get a second opinion even though the guy seems to know his shit.  I was previously under the impression that you couldn't get a tat over a scar but tattoos are scars and you can have them touched up so???  But the last thing I want is for the scars to show up more afterwards.

They say you should show your scars but these aren't some that I'm happy about and the story behind it sucks.

He isn't lying to you, a friend of mine had his scars covered.  But the tattoo he gt was of a fairy on a crescent moon.  I would have rather had scars than his new fag tattoo lol.  Be wise in what you choose or else it'll look like his, that he is hiding something, o yea, his cutter scars. lol.

I got three big down the road scars right in my wrist starting from the base of my hand downward.

I'd keep the scars.

I wouldn't necessarily think someone tried to kill themselves due to a wrist scar but maybe that's just me.

A tattoo is not really questionable though.

I knew a girl who got a tattoo of a koi fish on her wrist to cover up the same type of scar. I would have never known she had a scar there if she didn't tell me. If you're in a line of work where a tattoo on the wrist would work, I say go for it. I'd personally opt for laser scar removal.

Well, like I said, it's not so much the scars as it is the fact that it's tied into my ex and the whole story that goes with it.

Plus, I got a pretty cool idea recently for what to do with it.

I believe you man.  Cats can be awesome and they can be little bastards too.  We used to have 2 cats that we couldn't have together so we'd have to keep 'em in separate parts of the house.  That's not to say that we never fucked up though with keeping doors shut.

The male cat was mine and he was there first and VERY territorial.  So he'd always attack the shit out of the other one.  One time when they were in the middle of a brawl he ended up putting a nice gash right on my hairline.  Little fucker could've taken an eye out.  Rest his soul. :blueangel::cat:

Anyway, thanks for the help guys!
