I'm just talking about suffering in general, it will always be here. I don't think now is so awesome, just my opinion. I only smoke the highest quality crack. I get it from your mom. Can I say that or will I get banned? I mean, you did say i was smoking crack.

My mom only deals in the absolute highest quality crack. Thankyouverymuch.
I don't think suffering is any better or worse now than in any other time. I mean sure we've got all kinds of fucked up shit but yeah.
That's a philosophical discussion or something, and I'm not high enough.

Thanks for that, and yes, it is of the highest quality. You're right, suffering affects every time period, and who's to say which one was worse.

Yeah the slogan doesn't refer to college in my situation.  I am a very smart stoner, and I don't give us a bad reputation.  I mean drop out of the mainstream bullshit and the propaganda.

If you think about you could say that everyone on this site has kind of tuned in, turned on and dropped out.  We tune in to the actual state of things (and we don't just accept how we are told things are), we've turned on with the psychedelics, and we've dropped out of the mainstream society.

People say that what we're all seeking is a meaning for life. I don't
think that's what we're really seeking. I think what we're seeking is an
experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely
physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and
reality, so we can actually feel the rapture of being alive.:flowerchild:

Magick was also very alive and well. People hadn't stopped believing in it. I think that if I lived back then I would have ingested strange plants and become a wizard.
Perhaps I did live back then in a past life.

I don't believe in past lives, but if you think you were a wizard I am okay with that. Psh I wanna be a hippie, so whatever floats your boat.

We already are hippies.

I think itd be cool to live in the 60s, sure; but itd be just as cool in a different way to live in the 30s or the 1800s. Every era has it's charm.

No matter where or when I was born I'd still likely have long hair and beard, be a pacifist, vegetarian, and ingest psychoactive substances.

I'd only fight if I were forced and even then I would put up a fight against fighting(like the 60s hippies did).

Everytime I hear Brown-Eyed Women, it makes me want to live back in the roaring twenties.

I have met some people that seem to have an aire about them that is not of this time,

and it makes me wonder about the possibility of reincarnation.

Maybe we are just shapeshifting pawns,

destined to find ourselves crossing paths and shaking hands

in strange times and distant lands

to serve a higher purpose than we would ever be made aware.

Bru, today's society is MUCH more lenient (thanks to the hippies.) so be happy you live here.

Sure it sucks, but I promise you, in 3 years and 2 months, we have a chance for perfection. Or death and then perfection... Either way, perfection.

I'd like to get a time machine and experience the 60'ies myself. But hey, they didn't have the internet. I promise you it is the internet that will save humanity!

QFT. I sincerely believe that the degrees of freedom I enjoy today are unmatched by those of any Western society since about 30 AD.
