auger plate to liquid culture

i just set up 5 pt jars lc "malt/dex" with cuttings from a plate that was 1 week old.

i did this in a glove box as clean as possable. alcohol / air san / as clean as i could and not blow it up with the alcohol lamp inside./........ loop etc.

is this the best way to go from plate to lc?

in 2 days i have 3X groth and all looks good.

Should be a fine way to do it. I normally go from the plate to a syringe of water/agar/mycelium mix. Then inject the LC jars so that they're sealed all the time.

I would not recommend using an auger to do this process :wink:
