yes really.   What is more abstract and symbolic than math?  Its the height of abstraction and it is filled with themes and metaphors.

Yea, I know.  I think thats what nearly all of math and science are.

You're trying to push buttons

You know what I mean man, no need to cry over a difference of opinion.

:shrug2:  I dont know what you mean, but Im not crying.  Ive met other people who say math and science arnt abstract creative fields, but I think they just dont understand the disciplines.

All liberal, academic disciplines are abstract and creative.  Non-abstract disciplines are trades and the like.

Yeah, the math class that I'm in (which is extremely basic but it transfers to a University ) is practically taught like a philosophy of math class.  It's probably the coolest math class I've been in (plus the professor is this old hippie that is always stoned as fuck)

if math is abstract, it is an abstract LOGICAL field

that's very different from say, painting or playing music. Not that there isn't a mathematical side to those, but still...

Does anyone else have serious motivation issues when it comes to getting this crap done?  English specifically bores the hell out of me.  I'll finally sit down to actually write something and just get distracted non-stop. :crankey:

Anyone else a total slacker? lol

I was a total slacker in high school, but that was mainly due to the environment(a bunch of kids who did not want to be there) and the fact that I wasn't really interested in my classes.

First day of college changed everything. Motivation is an upward spiral or downward spiral. Procrastinating just causes more frustration, and negative feelings towards one's self-esteem so they just procrastinate more and more. If you force yourself into a habit of getting things done as early as possible(and disconnecting the internet if you have to), you'll be a much happier person.

Of course, I cannot force you to do your homework, I can only advise.
