Homework
    #11094958 -

Does anyone else have serious motivation issues when it comes to getting this crap done?  English specifically bores the hell out of me.  I'll finally sit down to actually write something and just get distracted non-stop. :crankey:

Anyone else a total slacker? lol

I procrastinate, but once I get around to my homework I usually can get pretty into it.

Funny I love math and science but when I had to do english and writers craft homework I took forever. I'd have to go into my furnace room with my laptop and turn off the internet to get shit done.

yes
graduated highschool with a whopping 2.4 GPA
now i'm gonna have to bust my ass at community college so i can get into a decent college.

i still don't regret skipping most of my classes and never doing my homework. its not cause i'm stupid or couldn't do the work, my classes were easy. highschool was just a waste of time

I'm not a slacker at all, it's more of an attention problem, I can't get myself to stay on task when the task seems very mundane to me. In fact, I was just going to make a thread about something very similar... I think I will

I suppose its because I like the abstract better. I don't care as much for the answer as I care for the "why?".

I'm going through this as we speak...hence me posting in this thread and not doing my music homework. Yeah, music in history...it's a three hour class once a week, pretty exciting stuff...At least my computer homework relates to my job so I can focus on it a little easier. And to make things worse, I'm getting a couple bottles of K this evening so that's pretty much where my mind is

I'm kind of with the math and science people, also.  Then again, I never really get around to reading my textbooks

I actually got my english paper done, but I'm already late with it and have missed like 5 days of class.  I can't stand the 'workshop' style class setting.  I think that if I had a car, then I'd go to class daily.

I can relate with doing horrible in highschool; I dropped out in the beginning of 10th grade and it's really making college hard lol

I'm a Biology major and Chemistry minor and I have loads of homework.  I get behind pretty much every week but I somehow manage to keep my grades up.  I would say I procrastinate a lot but I usually get my shit done.

Since when is math and science not abstract?  :crazy2:

I have similar issues.  Figuring out how to solve a problem is fun, and I can get excited doing that.  But once I know how to solve the problem I have less motivation to actually solve the problem.

Yeah I really have to get used to getting my shit done more than anything.  I'm going to be in a ton of biology and chemistry classes also, so I should get into good habits now (I say this as I continue to surf the shroomery and play poker )

Abstract meaning symbolism, themes, metaphors etc.

I like to write and I love to read. I do like some Science, but I do not like Math at all. Not trippy to me

Yea, I know.  I think thats what nearly all of math and science are.

not really. Math is formulas, and time consuming, added to the fact that the homework is pretty much every day. It's very right-brained (or is it left? cant remember). I have a big problem staying in that kind of mentality
