I'm real new to this but i decided to go out looking today and i found a bunch of red mushrooms that bruised darrrk blue. i did some research and found out that it is most likely a boletus. But every post i looked at about red mushrooms bruising blue said that they were probably boletus. So I have one question.. are there any mushrooms that have red caps and bruise blue that are active? Oh yeah i found these right around a tree, all around it i live in forsyth county georgia

Do they have gills or pores?
You have a boletus. It's not active.

Show us a pic if you can.  Maybe one of our more knowledgable Pored-Mushroom folks can add their input.
