I'm assuming you have holes in your fruiting chamber as well.

It doesn't look like a lack of FAE. Lack of fresh air exchange usually results in long and skinny fruits with tiny caps.

Looks like genetics to me!

okay well im telling you that when your mushies look like that and have underdeveloped caps that means they dont have enough fae, least thats what i was told when i asked that same question. now you got a few normal looking guys too they will probably all end up developing fine..mine are always fine when they first start off looking like that. but its not a mutation.

still disagree that its a mutation. ive seen that happen to a couple of my different grows and whether you think its due to fae or not it has to be caused by some aspect of its fruiting environment...a mutation like that wouldnt show up so commonly throughout grows i would think.

Those are mutants. Small caps usually mean not enough light while long stems mean lack of FAE.

Awesome job DMTCorey! On that same cake you have some pins that are as healthy as they can get. If those cakes are well hydrated you'll get an awesome yield with some beautiful fruits to take pictues of!

(Is that some sort of speaker inside your FC?)

Enjoy the rest of your grow and have fun!
:peace:

Edit: It's a heater in your incubation chamber! Is it really necessary for you to incubate? :smirk:

Yea if it was FAE or light it would effect the whole cake not half of it.  I would have to agree that its a mutation.

when is sombody who actually knows what theyre talking about going to  chime in and say that those characteristics are normal. okay how about you just watch, give those guys a few more days and they will no longer look like "mutants"...they will straighten out and elongate those are the ones that just tend to be fatter.

They are mutants.

I had 3 entire cakes of those on the first flush.

Next flush, completely normal shrooms.

I know it was genetics because the two trays and 6 other cakes in the FC all pinned and developed normally.

why would it be so common if it were a mutation. what, does everybody have the same prints and we all have the same genetics? no its far too common and occurs too much so many diff strains.

yes update this shit and we can see what happens haha

i agree hard time believing it is a uncommon mutation if it is one at all unless we all share the same prints.
