WHEN USING RYE GRAIN WITH CASING WHICH METHOD IS BEST

i plan to use 1 pint jars (mason)and rye grain.. i plan to colonize 14 jars... and witb 2 of those jars i plan to make 20 other jars.. by letting those 2 jars fully colonize then pouring a 1/10 of the fully colonized jar into a jar that has been set up with rye grain and steralized and ready to be injected with syringe but instead of syringe i will pour 1/10 of the fully colonized jar inside and incubate it and do the same with the rest... are my steps ok to go ahead and start.. or no???

and when the ready to be fruited i will moist vermiculite and place a layer down first then pour the substrate down and apply another thin layer of verm on top of the substrate.... are my steps for this process fine to start... or no???

You should do some research on grain to grain transfer. You know it needs to be done in a glovebox or in front of a flow hood right?

You don't need to transfer 10%, thats overkill.

A grain liquid culture is also a good way to inoculate more jars. U might want to research it.

You could case with straight verm as you suggested. But you'd get better yield just using a bulk substrate mix like coir or worm castings or poo.

Also I wonder if grain cased directly would be more likely to contamn with just verm for a casing. People more commonly use the 50/50+ mix for casing, to increase yield, and reduce contamination rates. Searching 50/50 tek should give you the link u need. People also commonly case with some kind of moisture control potting mix.
